Advanced Medical Photobiomodulation – Therapeutic Laser
K-Laser Therapy uses selected wavelengths of light to stimulate key molecules in human tissues. Decades of medical research have identified the precise wavelengths and frequencies of photon energy that positively stimulate cellular metabolism. It has proven to accelerate and enhance the body’s own healing and reparative abilities.

Class IV K-Laser energy penetrates deeply into musculoskeletal tissues. As it does so, it stimulates cellular metabolism by increasing blood flow, enhancing nutrient absorption, promoting cell division, and accelerating the removal of waste products. As a result, skin, tendons, ligaments, and muscles are able to repair themselves more quickly, while also reducing inflammation, scarring, and pain.
K-Laser Treatment Precautions
Over the past two decades, healthcare professionals have reported very few side effects associated with K-Laser therapy. In addition, clinical trials within the NHS are currently investigating its effectiveness as a potential alternative to steroid injections. Although there are few contraindications to laser therapy, it is worth noting that some old injuries or chronic pain conditions may temporarily feel aggravated for a few days, since the body’s healing response becomes more active after treatment. Furthermore, protective eyewear must always be worn during use to safeguard the eyes because Class IV lasers emit a powerful infrared beam.
Importantly, K-Laser Therapy is suitable for individuals of all ages, skin tones, and body types. Whether you are an athlete recovering from an injury or a pregnant woman managing discomfort, each K-Laser treatment protocol is carefully tailored to the individual’s specific needs. Moreover, we rarely use K-Laser therapy in isolation. During a typical treatment session, it is often combined with other techniques—such as joint mobilisations, soft tissue release, and targeted exercise—to ensure the best possible therapeutic outcome.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is K-Laser therapy?
K-Laser therapy is a type of light treatment that helps the body heal naturally. It uses specific wavelengths of light to boost circulation, reduce inflammation, and speed up tissue repair. Many people describe it as a gentle, warming sensation that eases muscle and joint pain.
Is K-Laser therapy safe?
Yes — K-Laser therapy is safe when carried out by trained professionals. It’s non-invasive, drug-free, and suitable for most people. Protective glasses are always worn during treatment, and sessions are pain-free.
How many treatments will I need?
This depends on your condition and how your body responds. Some people notice relief after one or two sessions, while others may benefit from a short course of treatments to get the best result. Your therapist will discuss a plan that suits your needs. For some acute conditions 1 to 6 treatments may be sufficient. Those of more chronic nature may require up to 10 or more treatments.
How often should I get laser therapy?
Acute conditions may be treated daily, particularly if they are accompanied by significant pain. More chronic problems problems respond better when treatments are received 2 to 3 times per week, tapering down to once a week or once every other week with improvement.

What does laser therapy feel like?
The treatment non-evasive and essentially painless. There can be a pleasant, warming sensation on the skin while the laser is operating.
How long before results are felt?
People feel improvement (usually pain reduction and increased mobility) after the very first treatment. Sometimes you will not feel improvement for several treatments. This does not mean that the condition is not improving. Each treatment is cumulative and results are often felt by 3 or 4 sessions.
